SprocKids (Ages 7 -12) - Summer 2026

Description

SprocKids program is an 8-week program that practises bike riding skills. The program is a multi-tired approach, designed to provide participants with the opportunity to experience success no matter what their riding skill level. The art of riding is broken down into smaller skills, where each new skill builds on a previous skill. Through the sport of cycling, youth develop a strong sense of self esteem by discovering and building on potential within themselves. This program is designed for children who can independently and confidently ride a bike and ride for 30-45 minutes consistently. Note: Participants will need to bring their own bikes and helmets that are ready for use. (I.E bike is in working condition, helmet is properly fitted, etc.) The age groups are a guideline, if your child is outside this age group and you feel they would fit this group, please reach out to the Recreation Department via email ([email protected]) to discuss. Schedule: Tuesdays 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Program Duration: July 7 - August 25 (8 Weeks) Meeting Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex - Green Space (Next to Main Entrance) Admission: $25 per person Registration: Registration begins on June 23 at 1:00 p.m for Paradise residents and on June 25 at 1:00 p.m. for non-residents.
